MM Coastal Mix is a specialist 100% slender creeping red fescue blend designed for greens, tees and fairways in areas exposed to salt stress. Whether the salinity comes from coastal sea spray, salt-laden winds, salt-affected irrigation water or naturally saline soils, MM Coastal Mix delivers reliable turf performance where standard mixtures struggle. This mixture contains DLF’s exclusive 4salt®-selected cultivars, developed through intensive research and screening to identify the most salt-tolerant fine fescue genetics. This makes MM Coastal Mix the obvious choice for coastal and links golf courses seeking resilient, sustainable fine turf.

The 4salt® technology behind MM Coastal Mix is the result of years of continuous testing and selection carried out in DLF’s global R&D facilities. The process involves: Exposing fescue germplasm to gradually increasing salt concentrations, measuring and comparing plant responses across species and varieties, selecting only the highest-performing, most salt-tolerant slender creeping red fescues, and incorporating these elite varieties into specially formulated mixtures such as MM Coastal and MM13
